For quite some time, rumors about Samsung's next midrange Galaxy A53 have circulated. Today, Indian tech site 91Mobiles claims to have shared the first live photographs of the Samsung Galaxy A53. The images confirm what we already knew about the design, and the gadget looks to include a quad back camera array, identical to the one seen on its predecessor.
We noted in November 2021 that the gadget received a major aesthetic update over its predecessor, the Galaxy A52. A month later, rumors surfaced indicating that the phone will most likely be available in different Snapdragon and Exynos models. Today, we discovered new information on the A53, which appears to hint that the device's release is right around the corner.
Specifications have been released
In a separate leak, MySmartPrice discovered references to the Galaxy A53 on the Chinese certification platform 3C. The Galaxy A53 is identified on the internet by its internal code name, SM-A5360. We previously revealed the existence of three separate variations of the Galaxy A53 with model numbers SM-A536U, SM-A536B, and SM-A536E – the SM-A5360 being the most recent addition. The 3C listing also suggests that Samsung would sell the phone with a 15-watt charger, despite the fact that the smartphone is supposed to feature 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A53 is expected to include a 6.46-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an under-display fingerprint scanner and a hole-punch notch at the top, according to another certification platform called TENAA. The item also mentioned 128GB and 256GB storage capacities, as well as compatibility for up to 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy A53's battery capacity may be increased somewhat as part of the 2022 update. Unlike the A52's 4,500mAh battery, its replacement is expected to have a 4,860mAh battery, which Samsung will round up to 5,000mAh.
When it is released, the Galaxy A53 will be the first phone to employ the Exynos 1200 chipset, which Samsung is expected to introduce in the coming weeks. This model will be available in nations in South and Southeast Asia. The Galaxy A53 model heading for the United States is rumored to employ a Qualcomm system on a chip. While we don't know when Samsung plans to release the Galaxy A53, there's a decent possibility it'll arrive in Asia before the Galaxy S22.
